ϟ 117) Salazar Slytherin may have built the Chamber of Secrets, but the other founders had their own hideaways as well. Helga built the Room of Requirement to help anyone in need. Godric built the underground chambers (which would house the Philosopher’s Stone) so his students could test their mettle against unknown challenges. And as for Rowena… well no one’s found her chamber. She was too clever in hiding it.

teamfreekickass:

potential spoilers but not really

Things that will make Guardians of the Galaxy more funny when you know the comic background:

  • Groot is actually really smart and a prince. Due to his vocal cords being wood, he makes very high pitch noises and when he speaks all we can hear is, “I am Groot” Rocket on the other hand has very sensitive hearing and can actually understand him.
  • The dog in the space suit is named Cosmo. He’s a telepath and becomes the leader of Knowhere

The point of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

the point of pouring a shit ton of ice water over yourself is because when one suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) one of the affects the disease has is a numbness throughout the body, as well as struggling to breathe, and both these are meant to temporarily happen when doused in freezing water. It’s to raise awareness of what ALS feels like and encourage donations towards research and cures.
